The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Guangzhou performs its functions in the consular district, which includes provinces of Guangdong, Hainan, Fujian, Jiangxi, Yunnan and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
It protects interests and rights of the Russian Federation and Russian citizens, individuals and legal entities; supports the trade between Russia and the southern provinces of China, strengthens economic, cultural and scientific ties and promotes the development of friendly relationships between the two countries. It fully commits to official consular actions stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation and by the norms of the international law.
The Consulate General provides consular services for Russian citizens residing permanently or staying temporarily within the consular district, as well as Chinese citizens and third-country nationals residing in China.
The Consulate General was officially opened in June 2007.
Since September 2021, Mr. Alexandr Chernousov is the Consul General of Russia in Guangzhou.

As of October 21 2022, all citizens travelling to Russia are not required to present a negative PCR test result for COVID-19.
Please note that to visit the Russian Consulate you need to register at the business centre counter (1st floor, main entrance) and receive a visitor card or use a parking card to go upstairs. After your visit you need to return the visitor card to the Consulate employee.
